Project : Production Collaborative de Connaissances et eLearning : une approche par wikis sociaux sémantiques Name : Acronym : Description :Wiki is a collaborative knowledge space which provides by its simple usage a new and democratic way for creating pages and cross links pages on the fly. Although semantic wikis could notify users about what could be interesting for them and act as a recommendation system which takes into account user tastes and habits. Associated to semantic wikis, the social networking and recommendation system will bring a process of gathering and storing information from the learners, managing the content assets, analyzing current and past user interactive behavior and, based on the analysis, delivering the right content to each learner. Knowledge management and education science will be the mean to analyze the results and to propose evolution to the eLearning process. Based on the characteristics of semantic wikis, methods for social networking, methods for the evaluation of the pedagogical practices and the tools for knowledge management, the main objective of this paper is to propose a new approach for collaborative knowledge construction in a pedagogical environment. The main reason is that there are many and many numerical resources and when students, teachers, use them, obtained knowledge coming from exchanges, collaborative works, adding new information is lost. This new approach will show how using semantic wikis and social networking, knowledge will be analyzed and indexed for future uses. This project has three main steps : - Definition of the Target groups - Technical and methodological Implementation of the collaborative system including semantic wikis and recommender systems - 1st phase of use - Evaluation and adaptation - 2nd phase - Evolution of eLearning practices and deployment The chosen pedagogical environment is THERMOPTIM. THERMOPTIMS is national eLearning platform in the field of thermodynamics. People involve in THERMOPTIM have a great experience of the analysis of the uses and will be involved in the evolution of the eLearning Practices phase. Concerning the implementation of the semantic wikis and recommender systems, the two concerned partners are two teams from LORIA (Computer Sciences Lab in Lorraine) and more specifically its teams KIWI (Knowledge, Information and Web Intelligence) and ECOO (Environments for COOperation). Nancy Université TICE will bring its experience in the field of eLearning process and evaluation.
